About Us

Bouvier des Ardennes Club of America is the first and currently only BdA Club in the US. We're dedicated to educating herding dog enthusiasts about this beautiful, rustic breed. Our goal is to promote ethical breeding practices and breed preservation, host dog shows and events for exhibitors, and share our love with others who have a soft spot for rare herders. We are passionate about preserving the heritage and working abilities of this exceptional breed, and we welcome all those who share our love for the Bouvier des Ardennes.

What is a Bouvier des Ardennes?

This lesser-known Bouvier breed is a cattle drover from Belgium. In the US, the Ardennes can be registered with the United Kennel Club and American Kennel Club's Foundation Stock Service, making them eligible to compete in all UKC and AKC events. A hardy working dog, the Bouvier des Ardennes excels in moving livestock and various sports if motivated appropriately. These dogs can produce naturally long or natural bob tails in the same litter.
